It's Monday and it feels this could be the best week ever. Well-rested from the weekend, time off all the work issues as well as a much-needed break and quality time. Thriving from Monday energy, to-do list are crossed of at super sonic speeds, coffee a pleasure not a necessity and tasks are getting done quicker than expected. Would it not be nice to carry this momentum through the week?
Once answer to being more productive and getting more done is simply cramping in more on a Monday and relax early on a Friday. Instead of work standard 8 hour work day / 40 hour week, how about 12-10-8-6-4 hours from Monday to Friday or 10-10-8-6-6?
Everyone has a slightly different rhythm, but going to bed early on a Sunday to get an early 6am start on a Monday does not sound too bad, if the trade of is finishing before lunch on a Friday. The results?
- Less stress by the ned of the week, because the bulk of the work is accomplished by end of Tuesday with most of the important task already accomplished
- Early start to the weekend every Friday
- No need to panic on a Friday because something has been missed
Combining a heavy start to the week is coupled with my favourtie productivity rule "if it takes less than 5 minutes, do it straight away" everything comes so much easier and the weekend feels much more relaxing.
In order to get most out of each day, it is important to allocate the right time of day for the tasks, start off with the heavy once first, and keep something enjoyable towards the end of the day.
